Theme: Assorted Gen Less Than 5k Words
So, I haven't actively sought out BNHA fic in like... over a year and my bookmarks for that fandom are an absolute nightmare but! I had a good time! So, I went in and found some fics I remember very much enjoying and re-read them! All gen! All under 5k! No particular order outside of vague timeline!
An accidental vigilante Izuku one shot! This one was such a comfort fic for the longest time. I have no idea how many times I've gone back to it. Izuku's genuine attempts at being helpful are delightful! Eri is a wonderful addition and Aizawa is appropriately parental and supportive. There is some very mild All Might criticism if that's something you like to avoid.
The League of Villains made two mistakes when kidnapping Bakugou: thinking he would go along with their plan, and kidnapping Todoroki with him. I am a supporter of the Bakugou-Todoroki duo, whether that be platonic or romantic. They are so funny to me personally and this fic is a great example of what I find appealing about their dynamic. They are the absolute worst kidnapping victims imaginable, it's what everyone involved deserves.
Izuku trips and falls into Underground Heroics and never leaves. I love this one! The focus on Izuku's desire to help people above all else is wonderful and I really enjoyed that playing out as him accidentally falling into Underground Heroics as an adult. The rest of the cast is delightful and his relationships are really sweet. I especially enjoyed All Might's reaction to the development. This one has a sequel!
